Ashley finds Claire on the hospital roof

Ashley visits Claire in hospital. She assures him that she knew what she was saying when she mentioned the vasectomy and she hasn't changed her mind. Ashley fudges the issue, though, and when he mentions alternative solutions, Claire becomes tearful and tells him to leave.

Back at home, Ashley receives a call from the hospital informing him that Claire has gone missing. Fearing the worst, he races to the hospital but as he arrives, he spots Claire on the roof.

Convinced that she's about to do something silly, he heads for the roof and tries to talk her down. Is Claire planning to jump?

There's a frosty air between Helen and Maria and when Tony calls round to the house, Helen's put out when Maria lets him hold the baby. Desperate for some space, Maria seeks sanctuary at Underworld and complains to Tony about her problems with Helen and Barry.

Ever willing to help, Tony waits until Helen and Barry go out for lunch and visits Maria with a takeaway. There, he reveals that he's arranged for Audrey to invite them over so as to give Maria some peace.

Feeling a little braver, Maria tells Helen that the baby will be christened but not as a Catholic. Helen protests but Maria claims that Liam would have agreed. Maria's adamant that Helen won't get her own way.

Meanwhile, Joe learns that he has to replace some worktops he fitted. Desperate and unable to cope without his painkillers, he asks Graeme for one more bottle of pills - will Graeme oblige?

Emily's niece Freda arrives and meets Ramsay, who tries out his sign language. Freda also introduces Emily and Ramsay to her fiancé via webcam and reveals that he has an interesting past.

Elsewhere, Luke indulges Rosie's design idea for a thong and agrees to produce a sample.
