David's attacker is revealed

The classic Platt/Grimshaw rivalry comes flooding back as Eileen and Gail row on the Street, while Jason's driven off in the police car. Tina's furious and sticking up for Jason, she tells Gail and Joe how David turned up at the flat and threatened her.

Later, Jason's released as there's insufficient evidence against him and Tina apologises for disbelieving him. David's gutted that Jason's been released but he's shocked when the real assailant confesses to his attack - it was Gary...

Things are looking up for Joe as he tells Gail that he has got a part-time job in a hardware shop. Audrey's unimpressed but Gail's pleased to see that he's making an effort.

Meanwhile, Ramsay accompanies Emily to Ernest's grave. Ramsay talks about his childhood and it's clear that Emily's smitten. Once home, Ramsay and Emily invite Norris to join them for a game of Scrabble. Norris agrees, believing that Ramsay will soon be leaving for Australia. However, Neither Emily nor Ramsey tell Norris about Ramsey's decision to stay!

Ashley tells Claire that Roy is donating the weekend in Paris then he/Eddie won as a prize at the cash and carry to the charity fete. Claire's thrilled and tries to lure Ashley home on a promise, but a guilty Ashley takes Graeme home with him to avoid having to tell her about his aborted vasectomy attempt.

Jesse's deeply concerned that John the parrot has taken an instant disliking to Eileen and tells Eileen that John's usually a very good judge of character. Could this be the end of a beautiful relationship?
