Roy finds Maria at the hospital

As word of Tony's heart attack spreads through the Street, the factory girls gossip, completely unaware of his fate. Roy, meanwhile, is in turmoil as he tells Hayley about Tony's shock confession. Hayley, however, puts it down to the drugs Tony was on but Roy's adamant that there was more to it.

Determined to uncover the truth, Roy returns to the hospital. But when Maria, who's in a terrible state greets him, she has some shocking news of her own. Has Tony taken the truth to his grave?

Ryan's appalled to discover Michelle's spent the night with Jake. Michelle's embarrassed, though, and ushers Jake out of the flat. Ben disappears to have a shower, leaving Ryan and Michelle to argue.

Meanwhile, Dev refuses to pay Jake's bill as it's too steep. In retaliation, Jake removes a section of roof tiles from the corner shop. As a stand off ensues which man will back down?

Simon has a black eye and a cold, prompting Peter to keep him off school for the day. When they're approached by a man called George, who claims to be Simon's granddad, he's quick to comment on both his bruise and his absence from school.

Elsewhere, Gail puts on some overalls and borrows a sander from Bill, intent on helping Joe with the boat; and Julie and Jesse arrange to meet for a children's party, leaving Eileen wondering what they're up to.
