Joe proposes to Gail

As Roy goes to phone the police, the enormity of what he's about to do hits him. Aware he'll ruin both Maria's life and memories, a conflicted Roy puts down the phone. Hayley then sets about trying to persuade Roy to let his suspicions about Tony go as he has no real evidence. Will Roy agree?

Joe surprises Gail with a meal and champagne on the back of the boat parked on the drive. They giggle like teenagers as they clamber aboard and Joe shows Gail the boat's new name, 'Gail Force'. The mood changes, though, when Joe suddenly gets down on one knee and proposes. Will Gail accept?

George meets the Barlow clan for the first time. Simon's delighted to see his granddad again, especially when he gives him a present. Deirdre and Blanche are also bowled over by George's charm but Ken's not so sure.

Elsewhere, Jack admits to Tyrone that he's worried that Connie's after more than just companionship as he keeps hearing her shuffling about outside his bedroom door during the night.
