Joe's confronted by a debt collector

Tension is rife as Maria demands answers from Roy and just as Roy looks like he's about to reveal all about Tony's confession, he decides that he really needs more evidence before he throws Maria's world into meltdown. Bewildered by his behaviour, Maria tells Roy to leave her alone.

Meanwhile, Joe's stunned as the debt collector reveals that he owes £5,000 and he's not leaving the house without it. In desperation, Joe's forced to give him his van.

Later, as he celebrates his engagement with Gail in The Rovers, Joe lies and explains that he sold his van so he can buy her an engagement ring. Gail's touched by his actions, while a fraught Joe suggests a quick Christmas wedding.

Kirk, Darryl, David and his girlfriend Zoe redecorate No. 5 as a surprise for Fiz. She's delighted as she nervously anticipates bringing John home.

Jack confronts Connie about the fact he keeps hearing her at his bedroom door. Mortified, Connie explains that she must be sleepwalking. But will Jack buy her reasoning?
