Gail's trial takes a turn for the worse

When Tony reveals that he intends to kill Carla and Hayley, a desperate Carla attempts to drive a wedge between Tony and Robbie. Capitalising on Tony's selfishness, Carla turns to Robbie and asserts that Tony will double-cross him.

At first Robbie laughs off the claim but when a row breaks out over money, both men go for the gun.

Maria unexpectedly turns up on the Street to tie up a few loose ends with Ladrags. Oblivious to the imminent danger, Maria heads to the factory but before she enters, she hears a gunshot ring out.

With one dead body on the floor, Tony warns the others that he's prepared to kill - and asks who's next?

Meanwhile, David takes to the stand in court and defends his mother's honour. Under cross-examination, though, a desperate David reveals that he sent the text and flowers 'from Joe' to Tina, not Gail. The QC pounces on his admission and David's quickly discredited as a reliable witness.

After the judge's summing up, the jury is sent away to deliberate the verdict. As Gail's taken down, David feels sick with dread - has he destroyed the only chance Gail had of a 'not guilty' verdict?
