Carla slaps Maria in the wedding shop

Carla is livid with Maria for lying that Liam was still in hospital and when a smug Maria drops the bombshell that they've brought the wedding forward she's stunned. As Carla digests the news and questions why she wasn't told, Maria cruelly reminds her that she's not part of the family any more. Unable to contain her anger, she slaps Maria across the face before calling her a gold digger. Still wearing the wedding dress, Maria storms out of the shop and warns Carla to stay away from her fiancé.

Carla's undeterred and later that night heads over to Liam and Maria's house dressed to kill armed with Liam's favourite homemade casserole. Maria seethes as she opens the door to see Carla, but Liam’s oblivious and when Carla attempts to cause friction between them by claiming that Maria's been bullying her, Liam defends his fiancee - much to Maria's delight.

Carla finally makes to leave and Maria follows her outside telling her once again to stay away from Liam, he can’t stand her anyway. Carla scornfully questions why she’s rushing him down the aisle if she’s so sure he loves her and Maria retorts that she can't resist seeing her squirm. Carla and Maria are now locked in battle over Liam, but will Carla succeed in breaking them up?

After searching everywhere for Ryan, Michelle and Steve are relieved when they find him mouthing off in Roy's Rolls about the lack of disabled facilities. Michelle orders him home but can't bring herself to tell him the truth about Nick and lies that he came to apologise for all the trouble he's caused - he mistook Ryan for someone else. Ryan's unconvinced. Will he get to the bottom of Michelle's lies?

Over at the Websters', during a heart to heart with Sally, Rita pointedly reminds her how easy it is to fall for the wrong man and Sally decides to make amends with Rosie. She sits down with Rosie and tells her that for Kevin’s sake they need to build some bridges. Rosie tries to meet Sally half way and agrees that they need to start working through this, but with Sophie still furious at her and Kevin in prison because of her, how easy will this be?

Jack and Vera excitedly put an offer in on the house in Blackpool and Tyrone tells them that he and Molly want to buy No. 9. However, Tyrone and Molly are less than pleased when Vera assumes that Paul can stay on in the house. Also Gail is stunned when she arrives home to see Tina come down the stairs half naked followed by a topless, love bitten David.
