Metcalfe in talks with Corrie producers?

Jesse Metcalfe has revealed that he would consider a move to the UK if he was offered a role in Coronation Street.

The former Desperate Housewives star told The People that he is a huge fan of the British soap. "I am in London at the moment talking to producers so who knows," the 30-year-old added.

Metcalfe shot to fame playing teenage gardener John Rowland on the ABC suburban drama and has since worked with Michael Douglas in a remake of Beyond A Reasonable Doubt.

He said that although he was grateful for his 22-episode run on Wisteria Lane, he had since had the opportunity to play some "really interesting, complex characters".
