Coronation Street's Maria Connor falls into labour on an isolated strip of beach during tonight's episode.

Both Maria (Samia Smith) and Tony (Gray O'Brien) hope that the long walk could help induce her overdue pregnancy, but they get more than they bargained for when Maria's waters break - and there's nobody around to help.

As Tony scrambles across the dunes to her side, he too panics when he discovers no signal on his phone...
