Coronation Street star Jane Danson worried that she would receive unwanted attention as a result of her character's escort girl plot.
The actress was shocked when she was told that Leanne Battersby would turn to prostitution in a controversial storyline - and feared that people would hassle her while she was out with her young son, Harry.
"I was scared people would be coming up to me when I was out walking with the pram and saying rude things," Jane told The Mirror. "Thankfully it hasn't been like that."
Danson admitted that she struggled when she returned to the show in January following maternity leave, but she was soon inspired by the other mothers in the Corrie cast.
"I came back to such a massive storyline and it was a lot of work," she explained. "I was leaving before Harry got up and getting home after he went to bed. I thought: 'How am I going to do all this?' Then you look around at your colleagues and you realise: 'She's doing it', 'She's got three kids', and slowly you get your confidence back."
