Coronation Street actress Tina O'Brien has revealed how she and her co-star lover Ryan Thomas have no plans to marry or move in together.
The 24-year-old – who has played troubled teen Sarah-Louise Platt for eight years – is to bow out of the soap at the end of the year in order to move on to other projects, her first being a pantomime role as Cinderella.
When asked about reports suggesting that she and Ryan – who plays her on-screen lover Jason Grimshaw – have moved in together, she said: "I don't think you should believe everything that's written in the tabloids. Ryan's squatting at mine at the moment, but we're not officially living together."
Of marriage, she commented: "It's definitely not on our list of things to do!" She joked: "I completely understand why people do a runner!"
Speaking of her plans beyond Weatherfield, she said: "My last official day with Corrie is November 16 and I start in the pantomime two days later. I've seen people about other things but it's just a case of seeing what's out there.
"I don't think I can go out and top something like Corrie. For me it's to do something different after eight years. I think part of life is taking on new challenges."
She added: "I'll miss the cast and crew. I think Coronation Street is like nothing else. The crew are the nicest bunch of people and they work so hard."
Corrie's wedding of the year airs on Wednesday, October 31 in an hour-long special.
