The cast and crew of Coronation Street were at it again yesterday as they filmed on location for their December episodes.

Now this is a scary sight.

Not only is Ken Barlow (William Roache) dressed up as Santa - talk about shattering illusions - but I'm writing about the 'C' word already and even publishing pictures.



The comedy scenes see Ken take on the role of Santa at a local department store as he continues to do battle with his grandson Simon's (Alex Bain) maternal grandfather George Richards (Anthony Valentine).

George flashes the cash but Ken's determined to out-do him in the Christmas present stakes and dons a white beard and Santa suit to raise some extra money.

Ken's morals, however, apparently get in the way and he's sacked from the position by the shop manager when he removes his disguise.
