S05E10: 'Only Human'

During a hospital function to encourage donations from rich sponsors, wealthy Harry Nixon falls through a glass coffee table and is badly injured, in this week's last helping of the ongoing medical drama series. When Ben and Scott arrive, they find the new CEO, Colin Blackburn, performing emergency first aid.

Terri, meanwhile, is under pressure to produce impossible budget cuts and challenges Nelson to help her achieve them. When Colin tours the ward the next day everything is in chaos and, when their VIP guest Harry Nixon points out that Paula took $1,000 as a "tip", the row that ensues sees Paula walking out on her job.

Elsewhere, Luke returns to surgery and is feeling very uptight as he wants things to go as smoothly as possible. His anaesthetist is an old mentor, Gerald Partridge, who sees through Luke's nerves and reassures him that they will disappear in theatre.

All goes well during the operation until Gerald points out that the patient's blood pressure is dropping. Luke panics when he can't find a reason and pushes Kylie to take over, but he soon discovers the cause of the problem – Gerald has given the patient the wrong blood. But can Luke bring himself to tell the authorities about his old mentor?

Meanwhile, Mitch moves out of his home and is wary of any attempt on Rose's part to separate him from his daughter, Lucy. When Rose claims Lucy is sick Mitch doesn't believe her, but she's proved right when the crèche calls asking Mitch to pick Lucy up.
