S05E40: 'Consuming Patients'

Von has a problem. Adam Finch’s nan, Sally, is dying and he’s reacted by running off in Von's car. He's first involved in a high-speed chase with Police and later in a hit and run accident. Gina, more concerned with her son than her dying mother, puzzles Von but she soon finds out that Sally was not always the kindly old lady she is now.

Ben's confused over his feelings for Bron and Paula's feeling the cold. When a patient, Shauna Myer opts for a radical therapy over surgery, Bron draws the line and Paula takes over. But Paula is confused by Ben's arrival on Ward to see Bron and she later confronts him, becoming the unfortunate witness to a vicious knife attack on him.

Ted Cousens is a crotchety old blind man who is giving Terri hell. She discovers the cause of his anger - his wife hasn't been to see him after they had an argument. Under the pretence of collecting some personal items for him, Terri and Mitch go to Ted's home only to find that his wife has been dead for days.

Kylie's concerned with Jared's initial flippancy towards the sexual advances from a Developmentally Disabled patient, Louise. Jared reveals to Kylie that he isn’t capable of any sexual feelings.
