S05E43: 'Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow'

An elderly patient has some startling news for the staff of Ward 17, in the concluding episode of the present series of the Australian medical drama. Not only is she claiming to be dead, but she also seems to have the ability to catch glimpses of the future by touching a person or object.

Only Terri and Nelson appear to be avoiding her. Nelson has his own problems to deal with, as an old friend is admitted for alcohol abuse.

Ben's physical wellbeing is improving, but his emotional state is cause for concern. While Bron assures Charlotte she can get him moving, Charlotte organises physiotherapy for him. The entire ward is shocked when Rose arrives as the physiotherapist. Terri and Mitch struggle with her reappearance, and Terri finds herself unable to cope with the accusations and innuendos being spread around the ward.

Bron succeeds in motivating Ben to sort out his life, but is not impressed when he asks to speak to Paula.

Scott finds his problem with his new partner, Aaron, worsening. When Scott and Aaron attempt to help a drunken woman out of the street, Nelson intervenes and announces it is his ex-wife. Scott's shock at this is over-ridden by his disgust at Aaron's attitude and Scott hits him.

Rose turns up at Terri's on the pretext of sorting things out professionally, but it soon turns personal. Mitch arrives home later to tell Terri that his divorce has been finalised and they can be together officially. After their encounter with Rose, however, their future may not be as idyllic as they believe.
