Emer Kenny has revealed that fans of EastEnders: E20 can expect the show's comeback episode to be "dramatic".

The actress and writer, who plays Walford's Zsa Zsa Carter, penned the first instalment of the internet spinoff's forthcoming second series, which focuses on another batch of four newcomers.

Speaking about E20's return, Kenny told Digital Spy: "The first episode is quite dramatic! I wanted to start it off with a real bang. So there's a couple of fights and there's a lot of energy in it, a little bit of romance right at the beginning - and they're all hints of what's to come, really.

"I also wanted to give each of the characters a really strong entrance, so hopefully that's worked."

Kenny said that she was unsure if the new E20 characters would have the chance to move into Albert Square on a permanent basis.

"I hope they do - it'd be nice if they did and I think they'd enjoy it," she said. "It's nice to get involved in the Square with all those amazing actors and I loved it. I hope they get the chance that I did. But I'm not the person to say!"

An EastEnders spokesperson said: "There are no plans to incorporate the new E20 cast into the main cast of EastEnders. However, as E20 remains a fantastic platform for new actors to prove themselves, we would never say never."

The second series of EastEnders: E20 begins on the show's official site on Tuesday, September 7 at 8pm.
