Yvonne is dismayed when Bela finds out that Damien is working to dismantle Rita's old nursing home. Bela is harshly disapproving of him working for the "vultures" that have caused such trouble for his family. Yvonne is alarmed, but fails to stop Damien from very nearly dropping her in it as an investor on the project. Yvonne ushers Damien off the Vino's premises and reminds him threateningly of their deal. However, Damien eventually calls Yvonne's bluff - either she levels with Bela, or he will out her himself…
Meanwhile, Dearbhla still harbours concerns over whether Sean and herself are compatible travelling partners, given that they want different things. Judith urges Dearbhla to clarify things with Sean, while Caoimhe offers her websites which connect backpackers in Canada. Dearbhla is pleased when Cass infects Sean with a little enthusiasm for adventure. However, peace is short-lived as the young couple revert to squabbling later when Dearbhla has difficulty committing to an apartment in Toronto.
Elsewhere, Leo tries to keep Shannon positive about leaving Carrigstown, but only makes things worse when he lies about Sandie looking forward to their reunion, while Paul disapproves of Rachel's new boyfriend, but Ray advises him to be smart if he wants to stop them seeing each other.
