Eddie tells Val that Neasa was a distraction because he just wants to concentrate on his new business venture. Eddie announces he is buying a courier company and wants her to be a director. Val is chuffed and offers to invest in the company. Eddie accepts but is somewhat wary of his mother's hands-on approach.
Decco asks Eddie for help with a business plan but Eddie rejects him again. Val gets curious about their relationship. Later, she catches them talking again and gets suspicious, much to Eddie's alarm. He lies to Val telling her he is helping Decco with a business plan. Decco is left disappointed once more, when Eddie warns him against trying to ever blackmail him about revealing his past.

Pete plans to spend some time with Neil to better their relationship but Neil brushes off his father's suggestions. Neil flirts with Sash when she comes into Vino's and upon learning Sash works in McCoys, he arranges to meet Pete there for drinks. When Neil arrives, he gives Pete a wide berth because he is more interested in chatting up Sash.
Luke is happy with Eddie's work for him and promises to pass his number on to some friends. He asks Eddie about his new business venture and queries how Eddie can set it up when he has been banned from being a company director but Eddie plays coy. Luke realises that Eddie hopes Dermot will be a director of his company but advises Eddie not to pursue this and instead pick someone who doesn't know much about business and will keep their mouth shut. Eddie ponders this and decides to offer Decco a job in his new company.
Bela feels low when he sees Esther and Charlie happy together when they return from their honeymoon. Photos of the family in Australia and news of Suzanne coming back soon cheer him up.
