Ryan tries one more time to get Yvonne to stop blackmailing him, but she refuses. Soon afterwards, Louise is moved when Ryan tells her that they should stay in Carrigstown, adding that they could go back to Australia in half a year. Louise can't understand his change of heart, but agrees they could set up their business here.
Later, the Doyles gather to listen to Rita's will being read. Bela is horrified when he learns that the house will be divided between the siblings and he has been left out of it. A massive row then ensues between everyone. When the Doyle children congregate in Vinos, they let the house come between them. Instead of saying they will let Bela stay in the house, they discuss selling it. However, Bela tells his children that he is contesting Rita's will and staying put in his home.
Yvonne soon realises that she could gain from this nasty fall-out. Changing her mind, she insists to Ryan that he now has to help her gain full ownership of Bela's house - beginning with getting Louise to sign over her share to her.
Meanwhile, Dermot is suspicious when Jo rips up their schedule and offers to do all of the housework and school runs. He can't trust that she doesn't have a hidden agenda. Dermot's rude attitude ends up being a turn-off for Maeve, who leaves the house annoyed.
Elsewhere, Eddie butters up Esther to invest with him, saying that he's an ethical stockbroker. Eddie gives a delighted Wayne his dividend. Wayne tells him that he wants to invest more money with him, but Eddie pretends that he doesn't want him to rush the decision. Later, a delighted Eddie is approached by Esther, who asks if she can invest in the stock market.
Also today, Damien and Suzanne meet and are unable to clarify the meaning behind their kiss, while Neasa tells Caoimhe that she has to crash at her parents' house so she can spend some quality time alone with Darren.
Dermot's brusque tone with Jo is a turn off to Maeve.
