Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) discovers the truth about her boyfriend Malachy Fisher's (Glen Wallace) deceit in a couple of weeks' time and is devastated to learn that she may have contracted HIV.

Malachy's brother Kris (Gerard McCarthy) finds Mercedes's up-beat attitude slightly strange given her circumstances but he too is in for a shock when he realises that Malachy hasn't told Mercedes about her situation.

Stunned by Kris's revelation, Mercedes tracks down Malachy and shows him exactly what she thinks of him, punching him right between the eyes. Will the distraught pair decide to work through the strain of their life-changing condition? Or is their relationship over before it even began?

These scenes air on Tuesday, September 30 on Channel 4 at 6.30pm.

Meanwhile, over in Weatherfield, Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) is now armed with the knowledge of his fiancée Carla Connor's (Alison King) affair with her brother-in-law Liam Connor (Rob James-Collier), thanks to Rosie Webster's (Helen Flanagan) video footage.

So with his senses heightened, Tony's on the prowl for proof that their affair is still alive. Knowing that Carla is secretly meeting with Liam and Tom (Philip McGinley) in the flat to discuss their new clothing business Lad Rags, Tony watches as Tom exits the building, leaving Carla and Liam alone inside.

After a few heated moments in the flat, Liam walks out, annoyed that Carla's just teasing him. Unaware that Tony's spying from afar, Carla gives Liam a goodbye kiss on the doorstep which, in Tony's eyes, is enough to confirm that the flame between the pair is still burning strong.

These scenes air on Monday, September 29 on ITV1 at 8.30pm.

Finally, EastEnders' Max Branning (Jake Wood) meddles in his son Bradley's (Charlie Clements) life again when he confronts Callum Monks (Elliott Jordan) over his intentions towards Stacey (Lacey Turner).

When Callum confirms that he and Stacey have only kissed, Max offers him a cheque for £1,000 to leave Walford for good in order to allow Bradley and Stacey to continue with their life as a 'happily married couple'. Will Callum take his bribe? Or will he tell Bradley about Max's actions?

These scenes air on Friday, September 26 on BBC One at 8pm.

Malachy's revelation looks good :) It shall be interesting to see how the storyline pans out over time. And of course, there is still the question about which McQueen will not survive the fire...

I can't stand Stacey or Carla. Why don't they do everyone a favour and just get lost?
