Bumper Sunday Picture Special

Published Sunday, Sep 28 2008, 17:34 BST | By Kris Green | 7 comments
So here we are again. It's Sunday and that means one thing - a weekend picture roundup!

Let's start off with a bit of Emmerdale for a change. Now these pictures are my favourite of the week, for obvious reasons. It's not very often you see a soap character skewered on a sharp piece of farming equipment. Gruesome, but different.

So how does Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) become impaled on a hook in a barn? Well, after he forces his wife Jo (Roxanne Pallett) to take a pregnancy test, she's realises she has no choice but to come clean about there being no baby and admits that there never was a baby in the first place.

Things take a turn for the worse, however, when Jo begins berating her husband for his involvement with Katie (Sammy Winward). When Andy discovers Jo's suitcase, which she's packed ready to leave, he hits the roof. She runs into the barn, where Andy keeps her trapped inside.

As she tries to escape, Andy loses his balance and spears his shoulder on the farming spike. Will Jo help him or leave him to die?

These scenes air on Tuesday, October 7 at 7pm on ITV1.

Over on Coronation Street, Becky (Katherine Kelly) goes on her already-publicised rampage through the streets of Manchester in a couple of weeks when her boyfriend Jason (Ryan Thomas) dumps her in the hope of reuniting with his wife Sarah (Tina O'Brien). Realising that he used her, Becky shows him what for when he turns up in The Rovers to apologise. She lunges over the bar at him and batters him on the floor.

Earlier this week, I actually caught up with the fantastic Kat Kelly to chat about her rampage week, so check back on Tuesday for my exclusive interview with her.

These scenes air on Monday, October 6 at 7pm on ITV1.

Travelling down to Hollyoaks, now. Mandy (Sarah Jayne Dunn) isn't happy to learn that Louise (Roxanne McKee) has set her up on a date with Dom Reilly (John Pickard). In an attempt to apologise, Warren (Jamie Lomas) pays Mandy a visit at her flat, where she insists that she's not the slightest bit interested in Dom. She confirms her true interest by kissing Warren, who asks her if she knows what she's getting herself into. When Mandy kisses him again, Warren's happy as his affair continues...

These scenes air on Friday, October 10 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.

And finally to EastEnders, where Archie (Larry Lamb) continues to control his family. He tells his daughter Ronnie (Samantha Janus) that he has a letter from her former lover (and father to her child) Joel, who has some fascinating things to say. However, Ronnie soon clicks that Archie's been lying to her. A spiteful Archie, however, sets fire to a letter that Ronnie had written to Joel to put her in her place. And so the mind games continue...

These scenes air on Friday, October 10 at 8pm on BBC One.

They all look great but... I might have to miss Emmerdale lol. Is it me or have the Rovers Return changed their curtains, or have I not noticed that before?

I think it would be good if Danielle was Ronnie's daughter. Then Gareth would be her step-brother if she was adopted at birth. I hate Archie, and I hope he is revealed to everyone in the square as the horrible person he is.

I can't wait to see Andy get what he deserves. And as for Becky I shouldn't be surprised if she gets locked up.

Ooh can't wait for the bit with Ronnie/Archie, it's the best storyline in a long time. If Danielle is Ronnie's daughter (which I'm 99.9% sure she is!), Gareth doesn't have to be her real brother (I mean a blood relative) :-)

I'm glad about Warren and Mandy as Louise is just becoming an alcoholic and ouch for Andy but good on Jo for plucking up the courage to leave him and Archie is just evil and manipulative.

Oh interesting EastEnders. Archie's a great slow burner. I think Danielle is Ronnie's daughter and this week's spoiler shows them getting close, but then Danielle has a brother Gareth... Oh well, sounds good.
