Sunday Picture Scoop

We begin this week's edition with a few pictures from Liam Connor's (Rob James-Collier) funeral, which was heavily papped last month.
Maria struggles to come to terms with the death of her husband-to-be and the news that their unborn child will never see its father. Once in the church, Liam's nephew Ryan (Ben Thompson) gives a eulogy with his mother Michelle (Kym Ryder) by his side.
Following the funeral, Maria reportedly turns detective in the hope of discovering why Liam was killed in cold blood.

These scenes air on Monday, October 27 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.
Meanwhile, as my exclusive pictures show, there's a rickshaw on the Square (for some unknown reason) being ridden by Callum (Elliott Jordan), with Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Danielle (Lauren Crace) as his passengers. Stacey's on a mission to prove that he's a womaniser, so she bets him £20 not to flirt with anyone for the rest of the day. Will Callum be able to resist Stacey and Roxy's (Rita Simons) advances?

These scenes air on Monday, October 27 at 8pm on BBC One.
Over in Emmerdale, Mark Little arrives in the village as Jonty, an old flame of Louise Appleton's (Emily Symons). Bob (Tony Audenshaw) and Terry (Billy Hartman) are shocked when they see Jonty kissing her, so think it only right that they tell an ultimately jealous Jamie (Alex Carter). In a fit of rage, Jamie punches Jonty in the face as Louise witnesses the commotion. What's the history between Jonty and Louise? Friend or suitor? And has Jamie's relationship with Louise just come to an abrupt halt?

These scenes air on Tuesday, October 28 at 7pm on ITV1.
And finally, in Hollyoaks Ravi (Stephen Uppall) gets the wrong end of the stick and tires to kiss Russ (Stuart Manning). In the heat of the moment, Russ isn't exactly sure of his true feelings, but pulls away at the last minute before they lock lips. Is this the beginning of a long-running arc for Ravi and Russ? I'm told not. Although I can't see the storyliners not exploring Ravi's apparent bisexual tendencies. Maybe when Spike returns?

These scenes air on Monday, October 27 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
Check back next week for more Sunday pictures from the world of soap. Oh, and if you haven't had chance to see the new EastEnders trail, click 'previous entry' below, or scroll down to the 'Judgement Day' blog!

Well every reasonably sized town is going to have some gay folks in it (just stands to reason) and if Soaps are about people, then some of those people are going to be gay or bisexual (closeted or out). It's not like the gay/bi characters are the only ones who have story lines but Soaps shouldn't just treat gay characters as a one-off either. It would be nice to get past the "coming out" stories though and just get on with incorporating gay characters into story lines that aren't necessarily about them struggling with their sexuality. That's what I love about Kris and Spike. They are already fully formed with regard to their sexuality so they can just be part of the ensemble.

Another gay storyline in Hollyoaks this is beyond the joke and how random is EastEnders one lol I stopped watching Emmerdale cause it's rubbish and Corrie I stopped watching bu watched Liam's death which has so much bad acting where as HO's Tina's death was brilliant can't wait for EastEnders so much the next 2 months

There are too many gay storylines featured in the soaps. They've been shown in EastEnders, Emmerdale, Corrie, Brookside and now Hollyoaks which I don't watch anyway.
