Street's Tony mown down, E'dale arrest and 'Oaks arrival

First up on the rostrum this week we're with Coronation Street and yep, you guessed it, 'crazy' Maria's (Samia Smith) is at it again. Her fury towards Tony (Gray O'Brien) reaches boiling point when the police warn her that if she continues to harass him, she'll be in serious trouble.

So, being the sound-minded, reasonable woman that she is, she heads home in the car and sees Tony walking across the road. Instead of swerving to avoid him, her hatred of the man she believes killed her husband Liam (Rob James-Collier) consumes her and she drives straight at him...






These scenes air on Monday, January 26 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.

To Hollyoaks now where there's more soapland rage being unleashed. After the initial shock of his sister Hayley's (Kelly-Marie Stewart) arrival in the village, Zak's (Kent Riley) fuming when she announces her intention to stick around and then falls into bed with ladies' man Archie (Stephen Beard). Venting his anger, Zak lamps Archie in the face.

Hurt by Zak's treatment of her, Hayley's ready to leave the village but the pair soon resolve their differences with a little help from Michaela (Hollie-Jay Bowes) and it's not long before the siblings are reminiscing about their care-free youth over a drink at The Dog.




These scenes air on Thursday, January 29 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.

Heading to Yorkshire now where in a fortnight's time, Emmerdale's Debbie (Charley Webb) and Jasmine (Jenna-Louise Coleman) are planning their escape from the village to start a new life together.

However, when Jasmine visits Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and claims she's going to the police to confess to Shane's (Paul McEwan) murder, Laurel's not too certain of her niece's intentions and so tries to stop her from leaving the house. Intent on running away, Jasmine knocks Laurel to the floor and runs off.

As the police head into the village, Debbie tries to escape when she drives a taxi through the garage doors. Jasmine's on a bus heading to meet Debbie, but when the driver announces that there's a roadblock ahead, Jasmine's taken aback to see the police arresting Debbie. She reluctantly stays on the bus and contemplates her next move.




These scenes air on Tuesday, January 27 at 7pm on ITV1.

And finally to Walford, where Jay (Jamie Borthwick) tries to take his friendship with Marissa (Finn Atkins) to another level he plans to run away with Marissa. Billy's (Perry Fenwick) not happy when he finds Jay packing his bags but Jay's determined - he's leaving. Before he goes, Jay lies that he's going to stay with his granddad Bert, while Billy pleads for him to stay. Not caring, Jay walks out and gives Billy a mouthful of abuse as he goes.

When Jay meets with Marissa, however, he's confused by her behaviour. All's not what it seems with the young female as she brushes Jay off and makes a call and says into the mic: "I did what you said. Now leave him alone." On Jay's return to the flat, he can't believe his ears when he hears Billy agree with Phil that his departure is probably a blessing in disguise. Feeling dejected, he walks off into the night...
