British Soap Awards 2009: Full Panel Shortlist
Published Wednesday, May 6 2009, 16:53 BST | By Kris Green | 5 comments

Until then, though, here are the final four nominations in each of the panel-voted categories, listed in alphabetical order by soap. Don't forget to check back just after midnight on Sunday for the complete winners' list and, once I've sobered up, some gossip from the red carpet and bash itself!
By default, each soap has 15 nominations in the public-voted categories and in the nine panel-voted categories each show has a different number. This year, Hollyoaks has nominations in every award category, EastEnders eight, Corrie has seven, while Emmerdale and Doctors has six.
Now while I go and buy a nice gold tie, you can continue to vote for your Best Soap by clicking here. Voting closes at 3pm on Friday, May 8.

Am I the only one who is shocked at the fact that Emmerdale's Jack's Funeral was not nominated for Best Single Episode, how Corries Wedding is up there is beyond me

With all the doom and gloom we have to tolerate in EastEnders why should it get any awards?.

Great to see Hollyoaks leading the nominations! I hope they have another successful night at the awards and will enjoy watching. Also looking forward to Kris' exclusives :D *cough* James Sutton *cough* ;)

Patsy Palmer has to win something for her role as Bianca. The scenes where she finally found out about Tony were amazing. Best acting from any soap actor all year. Perfect.
