Ronnie's baby plot, Poppy sacked and more

How far will one woman desperate to become a mother for the second time go to fulfill her dream?
Take Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Janus) in EastEnders, for example. She'll go as far as sabotaging condoms in her bid to become pregnant.
With her boyfriend Jack (Scott Maslen) wanting to wait for a while before they both become parents again, Ronnie's determined that nothing - not even the baby's potential father - will get in her way. So in a fortnight's time, things turn passionate between the pair after a day of constant interruptions.
As they're about to make sexy time, Jack puts a halt to proceedings as he has no protection. Ronnie, however, says that she does, before heading to the bathroom and piercing the condom several times with a pin.
What are the odds that Ronnie finds out that she's infertile in a few months' time?

These scenes air on Monday, June 8 at 8pm on BBC One.
Meanwhile, over on Coronation Street, Poppy's (Sophiya Haque) still causing havoc at The Rovers in the wake of her decision to sack Betty (Betty Driver). The bickering behind the bar continues until Becky (Katherine Kelly) and Steve (Simon Gregson) decide to step in.
However, Poppy oversteps the line for the final time when she gives Steve a verbal dressing down, prompting Steve to sack her and Becky to drag her out by her hair through the back door.
I have to say, despite recent reports that Rovers manageress Poppy had "reached the end of her set storyline", there's something quite sudden about her exit. In my eyes, she was only just warming up as a strong presence behind the bar, and the potential for her to evolve into a regular character has really been wasted.

These scenes air on Monday, June 8 at 8.30pm on ITV1.
In Emmerdale, Nathan's (Lyndon Ogbourne) livid to find Cain (Jeff Hordley) at Home Farm with Maisie (Alice Coulthard). Having called Cain over to check Natasha's (Amanda Donohoe) car, Maisie's flirting outrageously and quickly leads him inside. However, much to her annoyance, Nathan walks in on them.
As Cain makes his exit, Maisie warns her brother not to interfere in her life any longer. Little does Nathan realise that he's actually pushing Maisie closer to Cain. As night falls, Maisie lies to her family that she's going clubbing but instead heads to a hotel where Cain's waiting for her...

These scenes air on Friday, June 12 at 7pm on ITV1.
And finally, Hollyoaks' Zoe Carpenter (Zoë Lister) is horrified in a fortnight's time when her lecturer Adrian (Richard Lawrence) decides to surprise her with a public showing of her plagiarised film. Zoe turns to her brother Archie (Stephen Beard) for help but as he scrabbles to pull the plug on the screening, it's too late.
As the film plays out in the SU Bar, Sarah (Loui Batley) makes the shocking realisation that it's all about her. Quite shockingly, Sarah learns that her father Mike (Tony Hirst) nearly abandoned her as a child...

These scenes air on Tuesday, June 9 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
