Ash decks Ravi, Lucas's struggle, Carl's jealousy
Published Sunday, Aug 23 2009, 00:02 BST | By Kris Green | 3 comments
It's the beginning of the end for Hollyoaks' Ash Roy in a fortnight's time as he knocks his brother to the ground, sending him into a coma.
As I revealed last month, Ash - played by Junade Khan bows out of the Channel 4 soap at the beginning of next month when he's disowned by his family. Producers have subsequently confirmed his decision to quit and he makes his screen exit on Friday, September 11. His screen parents Bel (Nila Aalia) and Gov (Anthony Bunsee) ">follow shortly after.
He doesn't go quietly, though. At the wasteland where the illegal bare-knuckle battles take place, a fight breaks out between Ash and his brother Ravi (Stephen Uppal), during which Ash punches Ravi to the floor, causing his sibling's aneurism to burst and ultimately leaving him in a coma.
Before going for good, though, he reveals a 'shocking' family secret which has major repercussions for the rest of the clan.

These scenes air on Thursday, September 3 at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
EastEnders' holier-than-thou Lucas Johnson (Don Gilet) is struggling to shake his wife Trina (Sharon Duncan-Brewster) out of his life. Now back on drugs, Trina badgers Lucas for money to pay for her next fix, but he promptly shows her the door.
However, while he's at his Walford Pentecostal Church meeting, Trina appears and starts causing a scene. Bundling her out the door as quick as she came in, Lucas throws money at her, telling her to go and buy her next fix.
With a rumoured death on the cards, just where does the story go from here? Overdose? Murder? Suicide?

These scenes air on Tuesday, September 1 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
Over in Emmerdale, Katie's (Sammy Winward) party doesn't quite go to plan when Carl (Tom Lister) and Nathan (Lyndon Ogbourne) come to blows over Chas (Lucy Pargeter).
Ryan (James Sutton) turns up at the party with a sozzled Nathan and while Carl and Chas fight their obvious attraction for each other, Nathan seizes the opportunity to try his luck instead.
A jealous Carl watches on as Nathan drunkenly tries to seduce Chas but when he slaps the young Wylde, Carl sees red and swoops in, throwing him out of the house.

These scenes air on Tuesday, September 1 at 7pm on ITV1.
And finally to Coronation Street where Claire (Julia Haworth) and Ashley (Steven Arnold) are left panicking at the hospital - yes, the hospital again - when Joshua (Benjamin Beresford) accidentally swallows a bee at the DVT charity fete and goes into anaphylactic shock. Due to Janice's (Vicky Entwhistle) quick response to the situation, it looks like Josh will pull through.
Will the incident spur Janice on to pursue her dreams of becoming a nurse?

These scenes air on Monday, August 31 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.

I should think that Claire and Ashley have had enough of hospitals to last them a lifetime. Janice may have saved Josh's life but there is no way she'll become a nurse especially due to age/no qualifications/her criminal record.

Obviously Emmerdale writers have ran out of ideas for Chas and Carl and this is why they have been paired up again. How boring. It is time these characters left. Katie looks so pretty there, yet Chas look awful. Nasty dress and far too much makeup
