If you haven't already seen episode nine of the fourth season of Desperate Housewives, you're in for a treat. Entitled 'Something's Coming', it focuses on Wisteria Lane's residents as they prepare for a twister that's about to rip through Fairview. It's one of the most powerful episodes to-date and If you enjoyed last season's 'Bang' episode, you'll love this one. One character's fate is sealed during the episode, while another is unclear, courtesy of the WGA strike in America.

[tease mode]Normally you'd find such US TV gossip over in Tube Talk but there's a reason why I've mentioned 'Something's Coming' - simply because there is. Something's coming to the soaps section in the next few days which I'm quite excited about. I'm not going to say too much more, only to mention that I think you'll all love it.[/tease mode]
Anyway, the nature of Kevin Wicks' Walford exit finally surfaced today. If you didn't know and you want to, read on. He's essentially harpooned by a piece of wreckage when a dodgy car crashes and eventually explodes. It really is great, gritty drama. In actual fact, the bonnet flies up and he can't see where he's going. It's a must-see couple of weeks in E20.
Meanwhile, the cast of Coronation Street enjoyed their Christmas party last night in the replica Rovers Return at Granada Studios in Manchester. It was also a celebration to mark Liz Dawn's retirement. It can't have been that much of a boozy night, though, as one of my friends called me today when she spotted Helen Flanagan (Rosie Webster) shopping in Harvey Nicks. It's alright for some!
December 21st makes the beginning of the Christmas break for most people and the soaps are no different. They're all filming until the Friday and then they'll have two weeks off before returning to work on January 7th.
Finally, I've had word that Hollyoaks has just filmed some wedding scenes for next year. Intriguing, no? I'm sure you can all guess who, though, right? I've also been hearing some interesting stuff about what's coming up in the 'Oaks in 2008 and let's just say that I was gob-smacked at one morsel of gossip. But more on that as and when.

Really looking forward to the Oaks in 08. Hope we get some juicy Jake/Justin/Charlie stuff and loads more of the excellent Niall and the McQueens. Though not so much looking forward to the rumoured new relationship John Paul will have, if the rumours are true about who its with. Way too far-fetched and pointless, even for Hollyoaks!
