The nine contestants being duped in C4's new hoax reality show Space Cadets have been revealed.
They are:

Andrew Carter
A 19-year-old student from London, Andrew claims to have a "unique" style and regards himself as a trend-setter. His loves include football and going to church.

Astrid Roberts
Astrid, a 19-year-old call centre worker from Wales, believes she has been reincarnated and drowned in a previous life. She dreams of driving in a Formula 1 racing car, speaks German and does 200 sit-ups per day.

Billy Jackson
Although his main job is working as a recruitment consultant, 25-year-old Billy also dabbles as a semi-pro footballer. The biggest prank he's pulled was pretending he fancied a particularly homophobic teammate.

Cheryl Dearie
Cheryl, a 23-year-old housing association assistant believes a guardian angel visited her at the tender age of 16. The Glasweigan admits to being impatient and hates being alone.

Keri Hassett
A 25-year-old college administrator from Birmingham, Keri has a particular passion for space travel. She describes herself as friendly and outgoing and compares herself to Bridget Jones.

Louise Nisbet
Tomboy Louise, 23 from Kent, works as a PE teacher and represents her county in basketball and athletics. She claims to have never done anything bad in her life but admits to having a sea-horse tattoo her parents don't yet know about.

Paul French
26-year-old Paul, a plasterer from Bristol, is a happy-go-lucky charmer who enjoys a wind up at either his or others' expense. He is "desperate" for the limelight and enjoys the simple pleasures in life such as going to the pub and playing football.

Ryan McBride
28-year-old Scot Ryan describes himself as "noticeable" and likes to do things on a whim. His biggest practical joke was asking ten of his friends and family to meet him at the airport, unaware he was still on holiday in Oz.

Sarah-Jane Cass
Sarah-Jane, a 19-year old media student from Kent, is a confident, self-confessed chatterbox who lives life to the max. Her hardest test to date has been saying the word 'butterfly' and overcoming "traumatic" dental surgery.
