Lance Bass is to appear in the next season of Dancing With The Stars, reports say.

The former 'N Sync singer is said to be in advanced talks with producers of the US reality show.

According to the New York Daily News, the openly gay star may partner a male professional in a first for the ABC series.

Bass's ex-bandmate Joey Fatone finished second to skater Apolo Ohno in the fourth season.
