Gethin Jones has slammed reports that partner Camilla Dallerup was "livid" when the couple were voted off Strictly Come Dancing.
The Danish dancer was rumoured to have stormed into her dressing room and refused to attend the after-show party after being knocked out in the semi-final.
However, Jones told Star magazine: "Camilla wept for both of us. She had all her make-up - which she wears a lot of for the show - running down her face.
"But she didn't storm off in a strop. She went to call her mum in Denmark. I went to see if she was alright, but all she wanted was to ring her mum, which is fair enough."
The Blue Peter presenter, who is dating opera singer Katherine Jenkins, also admitted that the pair had got up close and personal on the dance floor.
He said: "Try doing the samba roll for an hour-and-a-half - crikey! Well, let's just say the waltz is so intimate, you literally feel every part of each other's body."
