Richard Madeley has turned down offers to appear on Strictly Come Dancing because he can't commit time to its intensive training regime.
Speaking at the Edinburgh TV festival, the presenter admitted that he "would love" to be on the show but believes he will require a lot of coaching.
"I can't dance," he said. "You can learn to, but unless you want to look like a complete prat, you have to dedicate a lot of time to it. As Judy would tell you, I'm fiercely competitive and although I don't think I'd win, I wouldn't want to be the first one voted off."
He added: "If the time comes and I'm not too old, I would love to do it. I think it would be a hoot."
Sharon Osbourne has also revealed that she is keen to take part in the BBC reality show.
