Brendan Cole has claimed that he is underpaid by the BBC for his role on Strictly Come Dancing, according to a report.
Cole and his fellow professional dancers are currently receiving £30,000 pay packets after previously rowing with the BBC over their salaries.
In a new interview, the star has admitted that he is unable to treat himself to a car because he is "just about" making ends meet.
"My money from Strictly just about pays the bills," Cole is quoted by the Daily Star as saying. "I don't have a car. I would like to get one. But until then I'm on the Tube. I don't even own my house that I live in. I can't afford it. I rent where I live."
A source close to Cole added: "The problem is the BBC don't see Brendan or any of the dancers as worthy of a rise. It's always the judges who get the money, never the performers. One day one of the top dancers will walk off mid-season leaving the show in chaos."
