Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole has claimed that the judges are responsible for his new attitude on the programme.
The professional dancer frequently argued with the panellists in previous years but has stayed quiet since being paired with Lisa Snowdon on the current series.
Speaking on spinoff show It Takes Two tonight, Cole revealed that frequent praise from the judges has left him with no room for opposition.
"The judges have been very, very nice to me this year," he explained. "They're always complimenting me on my choreography. I am a little bit mellow this year - I'm not kicking off as much as I normally do. But I haven't really had to."
He added: "I've realised that most things are actually out of your hands. All we can do is concentrate on the dancing and make sure that we do all we can."
Snowdon and Cole were saved by the judges at the weekend after facing their second dance-off.
