Oliver: 'My wife wants to do Strictly'

Jamie Oliver has revealed that his wife Jools is desperate to appear on Strictly Come Dancing.

The chef, who is currently promoting his Channel 4 series Jamie's American Road Trip, claimed that his partner is a massive fan of the BBC One reality show.

"My wife would love to do it," he told Capital Radio. "She watches that programme every year and dreams about doing it. I don’t know why?"

Oliver also confessed that he would consider appearing on the dance contest himself but is too busy to take part at the moment.

The seventh series of Strictly starts on Friday, September 18.
