Arlene Phillips has made her debut on The One Show as its resident Strictly Come Dancing expert.
Producers confirmed in July that Phillips will be replaced as a judge on the reality series by Alesha Dixon and Darcey Bussell. It was announced soon after that the 66-year-old had signed up to act as a Strictly correspondent for The One Show.
Welcoming her to the programme, host Christine Bleakley said: "We are more than delighted to have you on The One Show, Arlene - we're absolutely chuffed."
Phillips replied: "I'm really excited honestly, but it's because of you two that I'm here. I want to be part of what you do."
Co-presenter Adrian Chiles then joked: "Next week I'm going to come round and put my arm round you to watch that first show."
Asked how she will feel watching Strictly next week, Phillips added: "I don't know - I can't predict how I'll feel next week. I have no idea how I'm going to feel in a weeks' time. I just get up and live each day as it comes."
Strictly returns on Friday, September 18 to BBC One.
