Craig Revel Horwood has defended Strictly Come Dancing host Bruce Forsyth after comments by Justin Lee Collins.
Collins recently claimed that Forsyth had been "very rude" to him and is now too old to continue presenting the programme.
However, Horwood told The Mirror: "He is stupid. Bruce is iconic and it's amazing to have a man of that calibre still on our televisions.
"There is just no-one with that sort of incredible comedy timing. Some people find him funny or not but that's a personal taste issue.
"But for me I think he's great for the show. He is a national hero and I want him up there forever."
Strictly continues tonight at 7.25pm on BBC One.
