Live Blog: 'Strictly Come Dancing'

It's been a bad week for Strictly fans, with The X Factor giving it a good thrashing in the ratings and the usually lovable Brucie and Anton Du Beke making some rather unfortunate comments, which let them both down. However, the show must go on and we should in be for some treats tonight with the remaining 13 celebrities performing either a Foxtrot or a Salsa. Stick with DS all night and we'll bring you live updates and commentary on all the action.

21:15: Well, that's it folks for another week. Surely, Calzaganoff and Jo Wood can't survive another week? It's Jives and Viennese Waltzes next week. We'll see you back here, same place same time.

21:12: Lynda's gone! A split decision from the judges. Alesha and Craig wanted Oxo to stay, but Bruno and head judge Len gave her the chop. She takes it all in good spirits, which is nice after sulky Rav last week.

21:09: Well, neither Oxo or Craig were too hot there. Either could go.

21:04: The bottom two are poor Corrie Craig and Oxo. Jo and Brendan survive again, proving once again that you're better off not trying and finishing in the bottom two if you want to survive. It's very annoying.

21:03: Calzaganoff are saved. *Yawn* The tiresome and predictable British voting public annoy me yet again...

21:01: It's decision time! Lights down.

21:00: Well that was all rather splendid - apart from Winehouse, who may as well have stayed at home for the night. Her goddaughter's got a cracking voice on her though. Winehouse barely mumbled a groan for the whole three minutes.

20:52: LINES HAVE CLOSED! Don't vote now - unless you're an idiot.

20:48: Please excuse me, while I take a breather from typing during this break from the action. I'm off to eat some jelly and enjoy Amy Winehouse's car crash/comeback (delete where applicable).

20:44: Is everyone looking forward to Amy Winehouse? Who needs X Factor! I 'd love to be a fly-on-the-wall backstage when Brucie meets Amy. The doddery one and the druggie one.

20:40: Bruno apparently said a naughty word during the judges' comments for Tuffers. Did anyone hear what it was? I missed it. No one probably cares, but for all it's worth, in my opinion Ali and Brian were the best act of the night.

20:37: THE PHONE LINES ARE OPEN! Who are you going to be voting for? Laila and naughty Anton are top with the judges. Joe and Jo are bottom... again. However, Tuffers, Oxo and Craig are all in real danger.

20:33: A bit creaky from The Cat. He works his bum well, but that wasn't his best performance. Craig claims that Tuffer's bum wiggle belonged in a Soho nightclub. However, Bruno and Alesha loved the buttocks. It takes all sorts, we suppose. It lacked content, but considering his injury, we think he did pretty well. Tuffers Scores: 24 and is tied with Lynda and Craig, just above the drop zone.

20:29: Ricky and Erin Score: 28. Up next it's Tuffers and Katya. Will be interesting to see if The Cat can still perform a salsa with a dodgy knee. At least this is a proper dodgy knee, rather than GMTV-itus *cough* Kate Garraway *cough*.

20:26: Ricky and Erin play it straight this week. It's not a bad performance either, even without the gurning, madman act. "A step in the right direction", says Bruno. "Great movement around the floor", says Craig. Len goes to town about the "heels and toes" and criticises his other judges for being too harsh. He really is in a barmy mood tonight!

20:23: Jade and Ian Score: 29, which leaves them tied with Sonia and The Italian. Hold on to your funnybone, it's Ricky 'funnyman/comedian/wacky' Groves and Erin Boag up next.

20:20: Crikey, Jade's got Len and Brucie quite excited with her finishing position. Everything was going everywhere and things popping out everywhere. Craig says the "energy was spectacular" and he loved the "grinding". Craig suggests that he does some "grinding" with Len. We hope our gran isn't watching - this is turning into a filth-fest.

20:16: Craig and Flavia Score: 24

20:13: "An absolute dis-arse-ster", says Craig. Len says it was a "valiant effort". Will these two agree at all tonight? Alesha wanted more drive, but saw an improvement. Bruno says that his rise-and-fall looked like it was "going down a trench". Hmm, Craig could be in trouble after that performance, we reckon.

20:10: Craig 'Corrie' Kelly and Flavia are up next. They are my personal favourites, but I fear they could be in trouble this week. If you have any comments about the action or scoring so far, drop them in the box below!

20:06: Backflips, spins and plenty of action from Ricky. But there were a few glitches, which the judges pick up on. Craig liked the backflip, Len didn't like the backflip. Alesha says that she thought it was "corny" and "that he is better than that". Ooh, controversial stuff. It's 8s all round for Ricky and he's not top! Breaking News! Ricky is not top. He Scores: 32 and is joint third with Ali.

20:05: Up next Ricky 'I'm definitely not a ringer' Whittle and Natalie 'give us a ten' Lowe doing a salsa. This should be good...

20:01: "Classy", "best Foxtrot of the night" and "great musicality". The judges loved it and so did we. She Scores: 34 and pushes Zoe off the top of the leaderboard. Race row. What race row? That was a splendid dance. Despite all this week's controversy, Laila is still a real contender for the title, we reckon.

20:00: Lots of emphasis on how happy Anton and Laila are in the VT. Did the BBC deliberately schedule their performance for when X Factor started on ITV? We're not saying anything.

19:56: Calzaganoff Scores: 20 with Len and Alesha giving them sixes. It seems odd that he got the same marks as Jo Wood, when he was so wooden. Len in particular seems to be marking very strangely tonight. Next up it's Laila and Anton... this should be... interesting.

19:54: The judges offer some words of advice, but they probably just can't be bothered to criticise him anymore. It doesn't matter what he dances like, he'll probably still be back here next week. "No sign whatsoever of improvement", says Craig. Kristina starts blubbing about his comments, but we have to agree with the New Zealander.

19:53: Oh dear, Joe. Oh dear.

19:50: Sonia and Vincent Score: 29, their highest total to date, and that should get them through another week, we reckon. Next up it's Calzaghanoff (is our nickname going to catch on?). We're not holding out for a great Foxtrot from the Welsh dragon.

19:46: 'Sonia' definitely goes for it. It would almost be better if she didn't go for it as much. There's only so much 'sexy' Sonia we can stomach. The judges like it though. Bruno thinks it was "racy and pacy", and even we'd give her a 10 for effort.

19:44: Oh, crikey! 'Sonia' is doing a "fast, furious" sexy salsa. We hope you're not eating your dinner.

19:42: Jo and Brenda sink to the bottom, as they Score: 20. They are going to need some serious votes to survive. A shame, because we're warming to Jo. Vincent 'I'm Italian' Simone and Natalie 'Sonia' Cassidy up next.

19:39: Bruno says that Jo is still "stuck in the wood". Lots of praise for 'bad boy' Brendan, for his guidance. Craig says that it was her "personal best". Len says she did a "very good job" with a "very difficult dance". Will be interesting to see what she scores.

19:35: Ali and Brian - they are romancing, did anyone mention that? - Score: 32 with eights all round. We think it deserved more, because it was very ambitious, but hey, we're not the experts. Next up... Jo Wood and Brendan.

19:32: Now that was a great routine. Some impressive neck-drops, which get the crowd going. Brucie looks like he might have a heart attack as she finishes. Craig "loved it". Strangely, Bruno says he expects more and Len wanted more calmness. You can't please some people.

19:30: Ali has clearly got her 'dress' from Ola's wardrobe. There's barely two threads covering her lady lumps.

19:28: Oxo Scores: 24, which seems remarkably high. Len gives her more than he did Chris, which is really baffling. And people said Alesha was the weakest judge! Next up it's Ali Bastian and Brian Fortuna. Expect a sexy salsa.

19:24: *Sigh* Another slow, walking, rather dull performance from Oxo. Craig agrees with us. Alesha says that she was "pleasant". Bruno calls it a "Fox-walk" and moans about her lack of personality. Len has clearly taken his happy pills and describes her as "smooth and creamy". He must have been watching something else.

19:22: Oxo and Darren "cheesy" Bennett are doing a Foxtrot next.

19:20: A mixed bag of scores for Hollins, a five from Craig, one six and two sevens. He Scores: 25, which is decent, but that could leave him in the dangerous mid-table position at the end of the night.

19:16: Ola appeared to be only wearing two pink tea towels and a couple of sequins. All good fun from Hollins though, who gives it plenty of oomph, even when he knows he looks silly. Alesha says that he "got the party started" and claims that has the "basics". Bruno compares him to Bob The Builder (we're not quite sure why), but claims that he does have timing. Craig accuses him of "mincing".

19:14: Chris Hollins and Ola 'Is part of that dress missing?' Jordan up next with a "sexy" salsa.

19:12: Wow, she Scores 33 and Len's got his big number 9 out. Overscored? We think so, but what do we know? It looked good in all the right places, but it didn't get us going.

19:09: Len says it was a "well accomplished performance". Alesha liked the "pivots". Mad Bruno describes it as "glistening in glamour". Craig applauds the timing and describes her as "gor-geous".

19:06: Zoe Lucker and James Jordan are the first couple up. We're not taken with Zoe so far. She's a bit too cold and serious for me. Maybe this Foxtrot will win me over.

19:03: Laila gives Anton a kiss on the cheek, which is a nice gesture. Hopefully we can focus on the dancing now rather than worrying about a race-row storm. Who's going to go tonight? We reckon Oxo Lynda's number could be up! But then again, we said that last week as well.

19:00: Brucie makes a gag about Twittering (he's a twit, is the punchline) and admits that sometimes it's best to not say anything at all. Sounds like he's learned a lesson from the past week!
