Professional dancer Ian Waite has said that the jive "was made" for his celebrity partner Jade Johnson.
Waite and Johnson both revealed that they are excited about this week's routine, admitting that it suits the Olympic athlete's style.
"This dance was made for Jade. She bounces, kicks and does lots of drills like this," Waite told It Takes Two. "The jive is made for her. Finally we might have a tall girl who can dance jive."
The long-jumper commented: "Well, we used to lindy hop at my school, but I never got picked, so it's funny that I'm doing the jive now. I love it though, I really enjoy the bouncing, kicks and flicks. The only thing is, for me, it's about how fast we go into each move.
"The nature of the dance and how fun it is, I'm hoping we can portray that on the night."
Speaking about their potential to win the series, Johnson said: "Everyone thinks that I'm very competitive. People keep asking me if I'm competitive. But for me, it's about going to training, doing the work, performing well and then as long as Ian is happy, I'm happy."
Waite added: "I think that it's a good thing that we're not right at the top because that puts so much pressure on you. It's not like we have to be top of the leaderboard because we were there last week. It's a nice place to be, second or third."
Strictly continues on Saturday at 6.25pm on BBC One.
