Many thanks for the heads up. I got a Humax HDR T2 and I am very pleased with it.

Appalling piece of kit. Had mine for 6 months and now want to throw it away...comically bad EPG, remote is useless, recordings don't work. Would rather have bought a 2 month old cheese sandwich....do NOT buy one of these...we have a Humax in another room which just blows the Topfield out of the water in every way, including price.

This is the new Topfield PVR and again they have dropped a clanger. Slow, awkward, bad EPG that keeps dropping out. The case looks professional and very 'swish', but don't be fooled by the cover, this is a bad machine that just gets worse the more progs you store on it.

Within three weeks after purchase it kept turning itself off and on.Sent to turbosat who said they could find no fault after testing. Fortunately my dealer had it on test and had seen the fault. Turbosat replaced the processor and hard disk.(july 2009).O.k after that but EPG not working correctly, otherwise no problem until now, when it takes several attemps to run with it finaly showing no signal, although my other topfield when connected to the same system cables and dish has no problem. ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM?
