Someone gave me a new BUSH DFTAl (in box) at christmas working fine up until a week ago, helpline number unavailable, so where do you go for help? No picture just standby light on, chang batteries and location of box no joy, I presume this means it has had its day. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

My digibox is doing nothing. It powers on & off but no transmission to TV. Any advise or should I be putting this in the Bin?

I recently bought a bush freeview box CDVB3 and I can only see the television programmes in narrow band mode, ie with narrow screen and black bands on top and bottom of the screen. Can I adjust the box to correct this? Please help. Anne Humphries

Can anyone help with a Bush docking station. When I plug in my MP3 player with over 150+ songs my docking station only plays approximately 10 tunes. Can anyone help? Does anyone have a customer service number for Bush? Thanks Morag

Box died after 11 months of service (luckily within the 12 month guarantee) Good quality pictures up until then. Bring on the Huamax PVR!

I think this product is rubbish. I received it for as a birthday present in May and by January (9 months) it has packed up. One day it just wouldn't turn on, even though the red light to the power supply is on. Tried replacing batteries in remote with no joy. Suspect remote is faulty but with no bottons on actual free view box impossible to test this theory. Have googled the box for info and all I find is sites listing compliants - can't find a Bush customer service contact... Do they even have a Customer Service team? Don't want to let the person who bought it for me know it's broken, so have no idea where it was bought to even attempt taking it back for an exchange!!!

DFTA2 with the watch battery - the biggest waste of £40 in ASDA ever! Slow, freezes regularly, the remote is under powered, the signal reception is poor. Otherwise it collects dust well.

i have the box with the watch battery remote the setup is just about the only good thing about the box which i got for £40 from asda. the green menus make the writing hard to see and the box is quite slow changing chanels. also , the box isnt very good at picking up the signal because signal can vary at times so you have to be quite lucky to see your programs overall i would NEVER recommend this box!

I know what Andy was talking about with the watch battery thing - that particular Bush set top box was utter rubbish (can't remember the model number) and I think the on screen menus were green, which sent my TV funny! In fact if I remember correctly Tecos recalled them all. Soon afterwards they got the DFTA3 in and I reluctantly brought one home. Never looked back, what a superb box! Its now almost 16 months old and no problems. Its really easy to use, and the EPG and menus etc are the best I've seen on any freeview box.

I have had this box for almost a year, and I can safely say that it is an excellent all round box. The 7 day EPG is a great feature to have, and the interactive text features are loaded very fast. One problem I have with it, is that it often is prone to interferance on MUX A, something which another box I have does not have. Also, during the Christmas season when neighbours display Christmas lights, there is interference from these lights that affect our viewing. 8/10

I have the Bush DFTA3 and in comparison to another expensive box I have the menu and interface is much more straighforward. Importantly, channel changing is responsive. I'm on AAA batteries too - don't understand comments from Andy.

I think that this box is absolutely CRAP. The signal is bad during wet weather, the picture qulity on most channels is blocky and juddery and sometimes they dont work full stop. The freeview box cost £45 which is a lot of money for the rubbish quality you get, sometimes even a car starting its engine across the road can cause the picture to deteriate or vanish completely. One night i was happily watching tv when the channel went dead. I then checked all the other channels and none were working. Now come on for £45 you dont expect it to crash on you just like that do you? Every so often i have to reposistion the box to recive a clearer picture which is rediculous as it should be fine in the same position as always.

A VERY good box! Fast menus and great BBCi speed aswell. Picture quality is near enough perfect all the time. Lip sync is non existant. I keep the box on all day and night and is fine. An added extra of a 7 day EPG is great and also I'm able to let the box remind me when a program is coming up so that I can record it. I would defo recommend this piece of kit. My Rating 10/10

I also like this box. Originally got a Sagem itd58 from Argos. It always suffered from picture break up on anything from Mux2 Oxford. I got fed up with it and bought the Bush DFTA3 from Tescos on the recommendation of a friend. It works perfectly. Took the Sagem down to the folks where it now lives picking everything up perfectly from Hannington!

Think this box is great. The Bush DFTA3 is the one with the Blue front, the Grey front must be the DFTA2. My remote control has proper AAA batteries not watch batteries. I find the software to be very fast and easy to use. The box also handles Digital text very well.
Andy, Manchester, on June 28th, 2005
can't remember if it was a dfta 2 or 3 i had- the only difference is the bottom colour is either blue or black- mine was black. it was shocking, the battery in the remote was a watch battery which someone pinched from the first one i had- and by the way, no battery no way of using it. When you finally get it to work, you realise you weren't missing much, it couldn't pick up signal next to a transmitter (ok, slight exageration), the software is slow and unresponsive and overall it is a horrible box to use and live with. buy a sagem itd58 instead, or anything other than this.
