Digifusion now defunct so the fact I've had two die on me prematurely doesn't matter any more. Bought a Techwood AEDTR80S7 from Tesco as a replacement - easy to set up - cheap - so far so good.

Just bought one of these , and so far, seems fine! Downloaded the EPG overnight without issue, seems to record programmes fine, and the pause live TV function is ace (never had Sky+ so can't compare). That's only a first impression, but so far, so good. The best thing was the price... £38 from Micro Direct including VAT. Beat that!

Has been fantastic since purchase earlier this year - my wife changed her tune from "What do we want that for" to "How did we live without this" in about two days. But having problems since buying an "Acoustic Solutions" LCD32NK750HDF television from Argos this weekend - the TV remote is interfering with the DigiFusion.

worked fine for three weeks, now I cannot get my money back as I've lost my receipt!

Now that the widescreen problem that appeared on some channels has been sorted (via an over-the-air s/w upgrade to 1.7.8), I would recommend it as you get an awful lot for the price.

Had this box about two months now. Generally works fine but does freeze occasionally requiring a power cycle. I do get picture problems sometimes probably due to weak signal (Freeview.co.uk suggests I shouldn't be able to receive anything but I get all channels!). Remote is pretty poor quality but just about functional. Generally speaking does everything its supposed to well. Haven't used the VCR since I bought it.

Just bought this box. Have Freeview before but was unable to record or pause live tv. No problems so far, excellent buy would recommend.

Excellent box, no problems, mine replaced the Aldi PVR, and I note that some people have complained about the flimsy remote, I agree with them, and have replaced mine with one I found on the net for £18.99 , which is laid out far more sensibly and far more robust.

Excellent, not one problem, why are so many people complaining about the widescreen problems it hasn't bothered me. By the way indoor aerials are fine as long as you know what you are doing and put it in the right place.I would definately recommend one. EXCELLENT, 10 OUT OF 10, A+++++++.

Spent 5 hours trying to find out why itv2,3,e4 and more More4 would not display widescreen programs properly on a widescreen TV (all squashed up in 4:3 even though TV was auto switching to widescreen) then found all the threads describing the problem, oh dear. 4:3 programs displayed correctly as did all other channels, and yes I do know how to setup and use a widescreen TV. Took the unit back and got a refund as the problem appears to have been around for about a year with various digifusion boxes and there appeared no guarantee of a firmware update to fix it for this box. A real pity as aside from this problem the box looked very good from both a functionality and picture quality point of view.

I have had to buy a signal booster and an indoor ariel as my FVRT145 box appears not to want to download the EPG... indoor ariels suck!!! If you live in a building with a communal ariel i would advise you to get yer own one put up! Just had two weeks of hassle, FVRT145 is ok but next version up is much better!

No complaints so far other than the screen size defaulting to 4:3 (instead of 16:9 which it is set at) at the start of each channel change.

Does exactly as it says on the box. No problems experienced so far - including perfect handling of widescreen programmes - dont know why others are having problems with theirs - prob down to their TVs not handling the signal correctly. 14 days epg is a treat and, being downloaded overnight, there is an instant response when you want to look up any programming lists. No lock up or hard disk probs experienced

Pretty good for the money. Occasional freeze ups. Anyone know how to get rid of the putrid background colour?

Hopeless... I have used various models of this box the 200 which went back twice and the 145 which is going back now to. It crashed all the time and despite being in a good signal area with an aerial designed for low signal area, picture often jumps. The hard disk is noisy and many channels won’t display in widescreen. This problem was fixed on the 200 with a software download, but seems they can’t fix it on the 145. I’m going to try a Thomson DHD4000

This is my second Digifusion and both have been excellent. I briefly had a Sagem 6280 as a replacement but returned it because of poor picture quality. The Digi's picture is significantly better as are many other features and its very reliable. No problems with weak signals or the Widescreen Settings. Niggles - the remote is very cheap although ergonomic; the EPG is OK but could be better (why don't they all use a Sky-type layout)ghastly colour scheme; the Sagem had a nice merge recorded programmes feature which was very useful this doesn't have it; the overnight EPG update is a nuisance. Excellent at any price but at 125 pounds - incredible value.

Good points: Great value, looks good, easy to set up, fairly silent in use, reliable, twin tuners, 80gb. What more do you need? Bad points: no indication of channel, time etc on the front panel. Remote is awful, picture quality not the very best I've ever seen. EPG design not as easy as some and the colour scheme is putrid. Exit button marked 'Cancel' which caused some confusion initially. Doesn't seem to handle weaker signals as well as some boxes I've had. Worst thing of all is it's handling of screen sizes - it just doesn't. I'm missing top and bottom on 16:9, if I switch to full I get black bands top and bottom. Software fix required urgently. Overall: great value but with some annoying glitches.
