Bought mine off Ebay nearly new it was a second box for the bedroom but the blue sky light was too bright so replaced it with the one downstairs and that was the only thing wrong with it. Great device never had a problem with it.

These boxes are BIG trouble !!!! In my part of Spain Channel 4 is almost impossible to receive at this time and BBC & ITV fade about 10 ish. The 430N is much better if you can get one. Be very careful with these !!

This is the best yet 'blue light' box for us down here. One has played up so far, switching off, and showing coloured dots. A whisker less sensitive to difficult north beams than 430N,but this may have been a one-off. Seems ok with the 1.22m Tecatel[actual size - not 1.35m as claimed], and Sharp Professional LNB.

Received brand new as a freebie from Sky after they had failed, for the tenth consecutive month, to download software to my iDTV. Straight from the box and connected by SCART to my TV, the STB appeared to lock up in (non)response to remote control commands - it turned out that was not the case, the commands just were not acted upon for 45 seconds to a minute and a half! The next day, the sound suddenly acquired an 'underwater' effect and it transpired this coincided with the previously experienced non-response to remote control commands fault. A mains of re-boot fixed both problems - until the next time it happened! The PAL and RGB picture outputs were both colour-saturated and the Sky EPG was offset to the left. In summary, either I received a 'Friday afternoon' STB or DS440Ns are rubbish (pity, because Pace deservedly had a very good reputation for some of their earlier digiboxes).

Got this box of eBay to replace a 10+year old grundig box as the audio on some channels was distorted with a new LCD tv i bought. It sorted the audio problem, the picture was grainy at first due to the scart lead, once that was replaced with a gold plated one the picture was perfect. Very fast box, no problems. Highly recommended, unless a newer version has released!
