The second generation iPad, or the iPad 2 was unveiled in March 2011. The hugely successful follow up was a third thinner and 15% lighter than the first generation model, and featured a dual core A5 processor delivering improved graphics. Another noticeable enhancement was the addition of a front and rear camera, allowing for photography and FaceTime video calling.
