Formal launch planned for Style Network

The lifestyle channel, which joined the Sky EPG at channel 289 on June 10, is initially carrying entirely US programming.
Brad Wald, Comcast International Media Group's managing director in Europe, said there were plans to add British-made content in the future.
Style Network's programming is "young and edgy", he said, and included Style Her Famous, How Do I Look and Stripped "If you do niche channels, you can attract audiences, but it is being strong in that niche that counts," said Wald.
A formal launch and advertising campaign is planned to begin on Monday for the channel, which is part of Sky's Lifestyle & Culture subscription package.
