Launch date set for Military History
Published Tuesday, Jul 8 2008, 09:19 BST | By Dave West

The move follows the completion of a carriage deal between Sky and AETN, which operates the channel along with The History Channel, The Biography Channel and others.
"Military History complements our existing channels by providing a 24/7 channel for those fascinated by the events and technologies that really can be said to have changed the world," said
Richard Melman, acting managing director of the History Channel UK.
Programming will cover history, strategy, technology and weapons and include Jetstream, a new series about pilots learning to fly and fight. The UK service will be the channel's first linear incarnation outside the US.
