Estate agency channel announces launch

A new channel which will allow property buyers to view potential new homes through the TV will launch on Sky Digital in September.

'The Move Channel' will broadcast 15 one-hour segments each day between 9am and midnight, punctuated by infomercials and advertisement breaks. Segments will focus on properties in specific areas such as North London, Hampshire & Berkshire and Surrey, as well as an international property segment and one dedicated to the genre of prestige & country.

"The Move Channel represents a new development in digital television, the ability for vendors to have access to the fastest growing digital medium on a low cost, high impact basis," said Kevin Cochrane, the Move Channel's managing director.

"The Move Channel will allow viewers to select a programme segment, view the short videos of featured properties and request further information via telephone or email. Our web site will also provide further in depth information on selected properties and links to the relevant agent selling the property."

The channel is backed by property website TheMoveChannel.com.
