Gems TV extends Freeview broadcast hours

The shopping channel appeared on channel 44 between 7pm and 9pm yesterday, under the label Gems TV1. During the day Gems TV continues to broadcast on channel 43.
The new feed is occupying part of the digital terrestrial capacity, and the channel number, which were freed up when the Jewellery Channel ceased broadcasting on June 10.
Gems TV already broadcasts longer hours, extending past 9pm, on satellite, Virgin Media cable and the web.
