New Freeview station CBM has today revealed more details about its content lineup.
As we reported yesterday, financial news channel Bloomberg will have a slot on CBM each morning between 5am and 9am.
This will be just one of three main focuses for the station, however. Another of these will be minority British sports.
"There are many sports in which Britain lead the world but whose competitors remain anonymous to the public that they represent," a CBM spokeswoman said today. "The station will provide an unrivalled opportunity for such sports to get the quality and quantity of airtime they require."
The third angle will be movies. "This will provide a major opportunity to showcase the work of independent production companies in the UK," the spokeswoman added.
Freeview's general manager Matt Seaman welcomed the arrival CBM, which will broadcast 24/7 on channel 22.
Seaman said: "With its mix of sport, and general entertainment throughout the day, CBM will combine several different, attractive offerings within a single channel, and that means even more choice and variety for Freeview's viewers."
An exact launch date has not yet been confirmed, although it aims to be on air "this summer."
