Paramount is to launch a new "timeshuffle" channel at the start of next month, it has been confirmed today.
Going live on September 1st, Paramount 2 will broadcast daily between 4pm and 2am, giving viewers the chance to catch programmes they may have missed earlier on the main channel.
Paramount MD Tony Orsten said that the channel may eventually move away from its "repeat"-based focus and premiere original programmes such as stand-up shows from new UK talent.
He added that although it would initially be available on Sky Digital only, it would "eventually" make its way to digital cable services.
