digiNEWS Graphics Update
Published Sunday, Jan 24 1999, 00:00 GMT | By Iain Chapman
The digiNEWS graphics have been updated today. The results are that we feel they look much sharper, with smoother edges. The other result we hope is that you should experience faster download times for the various pages that make up digiNEWS.
We found that the Graphics Package we original used to create the JPEG images had exported the graphics out at silly sizes and thus created larger than necessary file sizes. We have used an different package this morning and resaved the images. Instead of most of the graphics being in the region of 12bytes in size we have now reduced them to nearer 2bytes.
We would appreciate any comments that you have on these changes.
